Coating used primarily for the protection of a surface against corrosion or abrasion and more attractive to the consumer.
As compare to ordinary powder coating plant, we installed an advanced setup to get the excellent quality products. Our plant is too flexible to process the products not only Bicycle Components but even products related to other streams also.
Prior to Powder Coating, phosphating is conditionally required consist of Seven Tank System, which we have installed to provide our customer the best quality. In seven tanks zinc based liquid chemicals are used, which helps to provide a lamination on a metal surface in the form of micron layer which increases strength to the material & improves adhesion to the powder coating material & inhibits further rust, surface damage & corrosion.
After seven tank system further three more treatments has to follow in this advanced Powder Coating Setup i.e. DE-Rusting, DE-Greasing & Tonner Application.
De-Rusting:- It is dual natured chemical which is used to clean the surface side by side removes rust & also flocculation of an intermediate of the compound accumulate on surface of the component. Due to organic nature (Organophosphate) it does not causes any metal losses as done by using other acids & chemicals.
De-Greasing:- It is powdered form alkaline based organic cleaner compound used for removing dust, grease & oil from ferrous metal surface. It further inhibits the growth of micro-organic components which hard metal's surface in the form of metal deformation & pitting when component is dent for De-rusting.
Tonner: -Tonner is an organic fuming crystalline salt which is added to phosphating chemical to give a clear grey color to microcrystalline coating. Main function of the tonner is to convert all the ferric ions, which provide surface activation for phosphating reaction and accumulation
There are some specifications in the above said system regarding density, temperature & chemical additions etc. Proper Filtration & timely treatment provides standardized results to the product.
After Seven Tank System the powder is poured through Gun called Powder Sprayers onto the material i.e. Chainwheel & Crank etc. The Powder Sprayers are electronic equipments having control panel to control their pressure and the deposition of the powder on the component. After heating up the components into the furnace for a fixed time on a predefined temperature, the good quality products are produced.
A proper coating reduces cost of manufacture, gives greater impact resistance, and permits a wider range of design to the customers
